Exeter DEAF (Deaf Equal Access Forum) began in September 2003.  Similar forums are starting in Torbay (Torbay Deaf Signers Forum) and Plymouth (Deaf First!) this year.  Speakers from hospitals, police, libraries, councils and businesses come to local Deaf clubs to explain their services and answer questions.  It gives people in the Deaf community opportunities to solve problems and to suggest improvements.  Forums help build bridges between the Deaf community and service providers.
