Living Options Devon celebrated as ‘New Employer of the Year’ at Exeter College Apprenticeship and Employer Awards

We’re delighted to share that Living Options Devon has been named ‘New Employer of the Year’ at the 2025 Exeter College Apprenticeship and Employer Awards.

The Exeter College Apprentice and Employer Awards recognise employers who go above and beyond to support apprentices. These awards recognise organisations that offer training, mentorship, and real opportunities for apprentices to grow, gain confidence, and succeed in their chosen paths.

This year, we were really pleased to be recognised in the ‘New Employer’ category. This part of the awards focuses on employers who are still relatively new to working with apprentices, but have already shown a strong and supportive approach.

Our nomination focused on the valuable support we have provided. It also reflected our commitment to helping our apprentice build their skills, take on responsibility, and develop their confidence over time.

At the heart of all of this, we want to highlight that apprentices bring real value to the organisations they work with, and they deserve to be supported, appreciated, and celebrated for what they bring.

Mary, our Business Admin and Marketing Apprentice, shared her experience:

“The experience I have gained at Living Options Devon will last my whole life and I wouldn’t trade this role for any other. If one year ago you told me I was working somewhere like Living Options, I would have been overjoyed- and I still am.”

We’re truly grateful to Exeter College for recognising our work. It was a privilege to take part in such a positive and inspiring evening, surrounded by organisations all striving to create better opportunities for apprentices.

The event was a great reminder of how important these opportunities really are, and we feel proud to have played a small part in this year’s celebration.
