We have been spending time working with and delivering Deaf Awareness training, and British Sign Language (BSL) instruction videos for Exeter St David’s railway team.
The training has been designed to help to improve accessibility at the station for Deaf people.
Funded by the Cross Country Investment Fund, the training aims to increase awareness, inform and provide staff with various skills that will help make a difference to Deaf people as they travel through and use the station.
By delivering user-led, lived-experience Deaf and disability awareness training we are highlighting the need, and working with businesses to encourage change for the better.
