Jodie’s Story

Jodie has limited mobility. Sometimes she can’t access all the places she would like. Visitor attractions, local beauty spots, and outdoor spaces can often be inaccessible for Jodie. This year Jodie discovered our Countryside Mobility Hire Scheme and has since been able to visit places she wouldn’t have been able to access.

In April Jodie hired an all-terrain mobility scooter or ‘tramper’ at Lanhydrock, she was able to fully access this National Trust visitor attraction with her family. Being able to experience the outdoors together is a wonderful experience for Jodie and her parents. Jodie has since enjoyed a visit to Godolphin, and hopes to discover other outdoor spaces where the countryside mobility ‘tramper’ is available.

“Thanks to your amazing charity Jodie has been able to fully access two National Trust properties in Cornwall. Today we have been at Godolphin. In April she was able to use the Tramper at Lanhydrock. It really achieves its goals as a charity, as you can see from the smiles! Thank you very much”.
