What is Counselling?

Published 7th October 2021, in Blog, Uncategorised, Wellbeing

Watch the second episode of our vlog-style podcast ‘Let’s Talk’, this time on counselling and the counselling service we offer at Living Options Devon. But what is it? When should someone seek counselling and how can it help? Our fully qualified counsellors Justine and Keira answer these questions and many more in this thirty-minute interview.

Let’s Talk Counselling

Justine who leads our Deaf Led Services offers BSL Counselling to members of the Deaf Community in the south west. Keira offers counselling to our beneficiaries who are disabled, have a long term health condition or have hidden disabilities. They both offer 6 free sessions of accessible counselling either online or face to face. For more information visit our Counselling page on our website or download our information leaflet below. Keria and Justine can be contacted by email / BSL Factime info@livingoptions.org Tel: 01392 459 222 or Signvideo 01392 547459

How do I get counselling?

You can watch the full interview on ‘Let’s Talk Counselling’ on our Youtube channel. Make sure you subscribe to our page so you don’t miss future ‘Let’s Talk’ episodes. There are two versions (exactly the same content) one is subtitled and the other will require auto-captions so members of the Deaf community can follow Justine’s British Sign Language. We apologise for the subtitles causing an obstruction, this is our second recording and we’re still learning.
