Could you spare the time to support, inspire and make a difference to others by being a peer mentor as part of our Time to Talk service?

We are looking for Time to Talk Peer Mentors to join our fantastic team of volunteers at Living Options Devon.

What is Time to Talk? A telephone and online support service for those with a disability or long-term health condition.

What is a Time to Talk Peer Mentor? Using your own lived experience, you will help others to increase their self-esteem, confidence and wellbeing. Working one-to-one to support individuals feeling low or isolated to take meaningful, positive steps.

Initially over the telephone or on video calls, you may also go along to a group or activity until somebody is comfortable to be there by themselves.

If you have good people skills, would enjoy using your skills to research and explore suitable local services and activities, you could be a part of making a real difference to the lives of others with a disability or long-term health condition.

We will provide an on-site induction and training programme for the role and you will receive on going support while you volunteer.
