Living Options Devon Disability Ambassador

Could you be a Disability Ambassador in the community?

Do you offer a community service? Run a sports club, social activity or group?

We’re excited to be creating a network of volunteer Disability Ambassadors in the heart of local communities right across Devon.

As a Disability Ambassador you will help to welcome and connect people with disabilities, or long term health conditions into already established activities, sports, clubs or social groups.

What is the Disability Ambassador Volunteer Programme?

Co-ordinated by Living Options Devon. The programme aims to create a friendly network of volunteer Disability Ambassadors within clubs, sports, groups or services around Devon.

Disability Ambassadors champion inclusivity. You will support and provide a welcoming point of contact for a person with a disability or long-term health condition who has expressed an interest in getting involved.

We will provide Disability Awareness training and ongoing support. Registered clubs, groups, services or organisations will have the opportunity to be listed on our website as a part of the Disability Ambassador programme.

As an Ambassador, there will also be the opportunity to help champion disability awareness within the local community or share information and resources available from Living Options Devon.
