Disability Ambassador

Do you run a club, group, or class that promotes well-being?

Living Options Devon is launching a Disability Ambassador Network to help our service users—people with disabilities or long-term health conditions—find local groups, clubs, and activities that match their interests.

Our Disability Ambassadors are volunteers for Living Options Devon who may run activities themselves or simply be active members of a group, club, or multiple community activities. Their role is to act as a friendly, welcoming point of contact, helping our service users feel comfortable and confident when joining a new group. This support can make a big difference in helping people reconnect with their community, reduce loneliness and isolation, and feel more independent and empowered.

When you are fully onboarded as a Disability Ambassador, you will receive free disability awareness training to help you feel confident in supporting others.

Groups that join will also have the chance to be listed on the Living Options Devon website as part of the Disability Ambassador programme. Ambassadors can help raise awareness and share useful resources within the local community.
